The City of Ontario invite artists across San Bernardino County to apply for the City of Ontario Artist Microgrant Program. This program supports creative projects that connect with the public, uplift local stories, and strengthen community life through art.
The City of Ontario Artist Microgrant is a funding opportunity that supports artists living in San Bernardino County who want to create community centered projects within the City of Ontario. Artists can request $500 to $1,500 to produce a public activation such as a workshop, pop up installation, performance, or cultural event that uplifts local stories, increases access to the arts, and strengthens community connection. Projects must be feasible within the program timeline and take place inside Ontario city limits, with final activations completed by September 2026.
Artists of any discipline who live in San Bernardino County and plan to create a project that directly engages the community in the City of Ontario.
Workshops, pop up installations, live painting, performances, storytelling events, or any community engaged arts experience within Ontario city limits.
Artists may request between $500 and $1,500 to cover materials, production, rentals, marketing, and other direct project costs.
