Join the city of Fontana for its return of the car show series! Either as a spectator or a participant, this inclusive show is free and open to the public and encourages connection through passion for cars and or car art in general.

Second Saturdays: Bead Snakes
Any and all are invited to Victor Valley Museums recreational event for this month that sharpens hands on creativity, fine motor skills, and overall connection through their relaxing Bead Snake workshop. You can bring the whole family!
Hot Summer Nights
Another fun community event to promote togetherness. Regional Parks are hosting Hot Summer Nights for people to hang out, eat, and witness a live drone show in which the night sky will light up in a rainbow of colors all designed to take your breath away. All ages and even pets are welcome.
Senior Center Luau Party
Celebrate summer down in Rancho with a tropical luau themed party. An event with live music, community, and fun games all in part to bring warm and good energy to the community as a whole but especially the Seniors in our community.

The Yucca Valley Community Center is offering hands-on insight into the art of woodcarving. For just two dollars you can learn more about woodcarving basics while also putting those skills to the test, but don’t fret! Experts will be on deck.

History is defined by culture! Learn more about it and the mountains surrounding Southern California through the last event of SkyPark’s Summer History Series. MX Grand Prix
Racers! Ready your engines, it's time for the MX Grand Prix. This motocross course is brimming with jumps, berms, and climbs taking advantage of the unique terrain of Bear Mountain Ski Resort. The MX Grand Prix will feature race classes for youngsters to 60+ and beginners to pro riders.
Big Bear MX Grand Prix by O'Neal
Racing dirtbikes, action, and prizes! Big Bear Mountain is helping host a Grand Prix over the summer. Join in and have some outdoor fun ranging from ages 5 and up. Whether you want to participate or watch the professionals get to it, there should be something for everyone.
Sensory Hours: Kinetic Sand Fossil Cart
The San Bernardino County Museum is hosting Sensory Hours this month! Join educators in their Hall of Earth Science Floor where you can closely examine real fossils and participate in “excavating” fossils through kinetic sand. Open to all ages!

Labyrinth Masquerade XXVIII
The Labyrinth Masquerade Ball is one of the largest masquerade balls in the world and celebrates creativity, enchantment and fantasy within the Royal Courts of Sypher.

Regional Parks is hosting their very own night-fishing opportunity! Open to all ages, this catfish derby will be a place to hone or show off your fishing skills while spending time with family and making connections. Prizes for catches available! All are welcome!

Matilda Jr. the Musical
YPAC Live, in collaboration with Legendary Productions, proudly presents Roald Dahl’s Matilda Jr., performed by the talented students of Legendary Kids Productions 2026 Summer Camp. Based on the beloved book by Roald Dahl, Matilda Jr. tells the story of an extraordinary young girl with a vivid imagination, a sharp mind, and the courage to change her own destiny. Filled with energetic musical numbers, memorable characters, and a heartwarming message about resilience, friendship, and the power of knowledge, this family-friendly production has delighted audiences around the world. Over the course of the summer, students will have received training in acting, singing, dancing, audition techniques, and all aspects of musical theatre performance. These performances showcase the hard work, creativity, and dedication of our young cast members as they bring this beloved story to life on stage. Join us at the Yucaipa Performing Arts Center for this special presentation and celebrate the achievements of the next generation of performers.

Dome Talks Speaker Series featuring Rosanna Xia
Dome Talks are back! During this summer series held in our iconic dome, authors, and scientists from across the region share their work, research, and ideas in an informal, engaging setting. Topics span science, history, and the world around us, offering fresh ways to think about big questions, from our place in the universe to the forces shaping life on Earth. Dome Talks will take place in the Fisk Gallery.
(Rosanna Xia is an author, documentary filmmaker and environmental reporter for the Los Angeles Times, where she specializes in stories about the coast and ocean. Xia was named a Pulitzer Prize finalist in 2020 for explanatory reporting, and her celebrated book on climate change adaptation, ”California Against the Sea,” received the PEN America/E.O. Wilson Literary Science Writing Award, a gold medal from the California Book Awards, and a special citation from the Library of Congress, among other honors. She has been praised for her investigative reporting and narrative storytelling, and her journalism has been anthologized in The Best American Science and Nature Writing series. Xia’s most recent project, the feature documentary ”Out of Plain Sight,” which she directed and produced, is a cinematic expansion of one of her most haunting environmental exposés. The documentary has received numerous film festival honors, including the Audience Choice Award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and the Jackson Wild Media Award for Best Investigative Film.)

Phelan Certified Farmers Market is a beautiful small town farmers market located near the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains just off of Highway 138. They have a variety of small farms providing farm fresh produce, gourmet food products and artisan goods. Join them every Monday 2 pm to 6 pm at 4128 Warbler Rd in Phelan, inside the Phelan Community Park during the summer.

Movies in the Park
Enjoy a summer evening under the stars at Chino Hills’ family-friendly Movies in the Park. Arrive early for activities, then settle in for an outdoor movie. Kalu Okpara: Featured Artist Showcase
The City of Fontana is excited to announce the Featured Artist Showcase for Summer 2026, featuring the captivating multimedia pieces of Nigerian sculptor Kalu Okpara. The showcase will open on May 23, 2026, and will run through July 19, 2026, at the Art Depot Gallery, located at 16822 Spring St. Visitors are invited to explore Okpara's current collection, which focuses on themes such as resilience, movement, labor, bodily experience, and transformation, reflecting his experiences with migration and living in various places around the world.
The Featured Artist Showcase is free and open to the public from Wednesday to Friday, 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Southland Symphony Orchestra Celebrates Season Finale with Dvořák, Brahms, and Guest Cellist Ruslan Biryukov
The Southland Symphony Orchestra (SSO) proudly presents its 2025–2026 Season Finale Concert on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 4:00 PM, in the beautiful sanctuary of Bethel Congregational Church.
This thrilling season finale brings together sweeping Romantic masterworks and dazzling virtuosity, highlighted by internationally acclaimed cellist Ruslan Biryukov performing Cello Concerto in B minor, Op. 104 by Antonín Dvořák—widely regarded as the “king” of cello concertos. Rich in lyricism and emotional depth, this beloved masterpiece stands as one of the most powerful works in the concerto repertoire.
The program also features:
• Concert Overture in D Major by Elfrida Andrée — a majestic and soaringly melodic work of striking brilliance
• Symphony No. 4 in E minor, Op. 98 by Johannes Brahms — an iconic symphony of profound intensity and timeless beauty
