Nickelodeon Animation Studio Writing Program Nickelodeon Writing Studio

Nickelodeon's global Writing Program is one of the best in the biz. Consider the facts: alum have gone on to create their own Nickelodeon shows and write for all sorts of TV series and films. While in the Program, writers meet our series creators, work in writers’ rooms, and receive hands-on experience writing spec scripts and pitching story ideas in both live action and animated television. Basically, they write a lot and do cool things, all while being provided a salary!

For consideration in the 2016 – 2017 Writing Program, materials must be submitted together between January 2, 2016 and February 28, 2016 (postmarked). Semi-finalists will be notified by the end of July 2016 and finalists will be notified by the end of August 2016. Chosen writers will be notified by mid-September 2016. All other applicants will be notified, by mail, by the end of October 2016.

You must be 18 years or older to participate. If you have previously applied to the Program and have not been selected, you are welcomed and encouraged to apply again. However you are required to submit a different spec script for each new submission period.
