Riverside Artswalk is a free monthly community event that celebrates the diversity of arts and culture in Riverside and the inland empire.

Visit over 22 downtown locations, including museums, galleries and studios, presenting an eclectic mix of visual and performing arts.

Either before or after, enjoy the many dining or shopping experiences that Downtown Riverside has to offer.

The Cinema Culturas Film Festival Inland Empire opens on Friday, Oct. 17 with the film “La Jaula de Oro.” Although the English title is “The Golden Dream,” the title translates literally to “the cage of gold,” a reflection of the expectations and realities of those who brave the journey north to the U.S. The film swept the Mexican Ariel Awards, winning in several categories, including Best Picture, Best Cinematography and Best Screenplay.

Before the film, the Symphonie Jeunesse from San Bernardino will accompany a film montage of Mexican cinema history.

Tickets for the event, which takes place at the Fox Performing Arts Center in Riverside, are now available through Ticketmaster, general seating $20, preferred $25.
