Closing Night of "The Underpants" at Redlands Theatre Festival Redlands Theatre Festival

The Underpants

Adapted by: Steve Martin

Dusseldorf, 1910. A very public wardrobe malfunction becomes the talk of the town in Steve Martin’s (yes, that Steve Martin!) ribald take on this uproarious German farce. (Yes, there is such a thing.) Chock-full of sexual innuendo and verbal jousting, The Underpants sends up the absurdity of instant fame. Das ist funny!

**Some mature themes.

Runs: July 17, 26, 30, Aug 7,15,19

The Redlands Theatre Festival is a summer repertory company residing in Prospect Park since the 1970’s and is the oldest outdoor theatre series in the Inland Empire.

Cliff Cabanilla, retired Crafton Hills College theatre arts professor, is the founding director of RTF and oversees the event each summer. Each year, Cabanilla recruits some of the finest theatre talent in the area to participate in RTF performances. Actors for the productions include professionals and students. Six plays are produced simultaneously using a small core of actors and technicians to fulfill all necessary roles. Each of the plays, which are staged repeatedly throughout the two-month run of the Festival, offer a unique variety only found in repertory theatre.

Come up and enjoy a show under the stars in beautiful Prospect Park.
