The Color-Go-Round, Jan Wright October 31 — December 22, 2013
Color-Go-Round features the artwork of water media artist Jan Wright. Jan uses color to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. Though primarily a landscape painter, she also paints abstracts and portraits of people and animals. When thinking about painting, Jan views color options in her head and occasionally "sees" a painting in its completed form. Jan says that in the musical Cabaret, money makes the world go round. Money may work for cabarets, but as Jan says, "as far as painting is concerned, it's COLOR for me! In Jan's words: "My mantra when painting is First, beautiful color. I don't always achieve that goal, but I want to create paintings that vibrate with color." Through December 22.
Mythmakers, John Greco & Tammy Greenwood, Curated by Leslie A. Brown November 7 – December 29, 2013
