Garcia Center for the Arts, San Bernardino
On Saturday, August 17th, at 10:00 A.M., we will have the first meeting of our new Youth Choir. Kids from ages 8-12 are invited to come and make some music for San Bernardino. The session will last until about 12:30. This session of Choir will be every Saturday through September 21st.
Directing this group will be Nicole Perez, a recent graduate of CSUSB with major in Music Education. Nicole attended elementary and high school in San Bernardino, participating in both vocal and instrumental music, and was in both Chamber Choir and Theatre at Cajon High School. At Cal State, she was in Chamber Singers, Vocal Jazz Ensemble and Opera Theatre. She will be studying at the University of Redlands to receive her teaching credential and Master’s Degree in Education. She is excited to share her passion for music with the youth who want to be part of the Garcia Center’s Youth Choir.

We hope to see many young people show up to be part of this new endeavor. This event is free, because of a grant for children’s arts activities from the City of San Bernardino’s Arts and Historical Preservation Commission.
