Grow your visual arts career and/or business with this inspirational, practical and productive workshop. A variety of important topics will be introduced including understanding the artworld and art markets, art/life planning and goal setting, writing and speaking about art, best business practices, exhibition and business opportunities, funding and support, building artist networks and professional relationships, and much more. This workshop is designed for visual artists seeking to develop pathways and strategies for creative and personal success. 

 The workshop will be led by renowned artist, educator and curator, Sant Khalsa. Khalsa’s artworks are exhibited internationally, widely published, and collected by museums including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Nevada Museum of Art in Reno, Center for Creative Photography in Tucson and UCR/California Museum of Photography. Khalsa is a recipient of fellowships and grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, California Arts Council, California Council for the Humanities and others. She is a Professor of Art, Emerita at California State University, San Bernardino (1988-2018), where she taught and mentored countless undergraduate and graduate art students. She is currently the Founding Director of the new Joshua Tree Center for Photographic Arts and facilitates Joshua Tree Arts Professionals, which quarterly brings together arts leaders and organizers in the Morongo Basin. 

This workshop is free and open to all artists, of any media and experience levels.
